Position Title: HR Specialist

Classification: Exempt

Reports To: Director of HR/HR Supervisor


Role Summary:
The HR Specialist is responsible for executing a range of human resources functions and administrative duties related to talent acquisition, employee involvement, and event management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment:
    • Design and implement effective strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
    • Oversee the complete recruitment cycle, including job advertisements, resume evaluations, interviews, and reference verifications.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing requirements and develop engaging job descriptions.
    • Leverage various recruitment platforms, including job boards and social media, to source potential candidates.
    • Maintain a pool of talent and foster relationships with prospective candidates.
    • Facilitate onboarding processes for new employees, ensuring a seamless integration into the organization.
  • Employee Engagement:
    • Organize and manage employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building exercises, wellness programs, and recognition events.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to ascertain event goals and requirements.
    • Handle logistics for events, including venue selection, catering, and materials preparation.
    • Supervise the creation and dissemination of promotional materials across various channels.
    • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while upholding quality standards.
    • Review and process invoices and expense reports with precision.
    • Address any issues that arise during events and provide solutions as needed.
    • Procure merchandise and supplies, managing inventory effectively.
    • Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and assess event outcomes for ongoing improvement.
    • Draft and circulate the company newsletter.
    • Assist in vendor management for general services.
    • Perform additional duties as required.

  • Experience in event planning and management, including logistics and budgeting.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in recruitment and/or event management.
