Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Anesthesia team at the University of Pennsylvania's Ryan Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our veterinary patients undergoing anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia to small animals, including inpatient, outpatient, critical, and non-critical cases
  • Review medical history of patients and develop an appropriate anesthetic protocol
  • Place IV catheters, perform physical exams, and induce, maintain, and recover animals from anesthesia
  • Oversee recovery of animals and indicate when they are ready to return to their ward or be discharged
  • Set up equipment for cases, communicate with clinicians, and maintain the daily schedule
