Overview

Society Hill Veterinary Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications, assist with treatments, and perform diagnostics and monitoring as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and surgical instruments.
  • Provide patient dental care, including ultrasonic cleaning and polishing.
  • Collect, prepare, and run or submit samples for requested tests.
  • Read and record results when indicated.
  • Prepare invoices, discharge instructions, and client informational tools.
  • Communicate with clients regarding hospitalized patients, provide follow-up care, and educate clients on at-home procedures.
  • Assist with reception and front desk duties as needed.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds with a coworker. You must also be able to work in noisy conditions and be exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch.
