Firefly Health is seeking a highly skilled Health Plan Associate to join our team. As a Health Plan Associate, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to our members, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide timely and knowledgeable responses to member inquiries via chat, email, and phone.
- Assist members with questions regarding the Firefly Health Plan, including provider network, claims, benefits, medications, prior authorizations, and Care-Key requirements.
- Furnish benefits, claim status, eligibility checks, and other information to providers on an inbound and outbound call and email basis.
- Aide and guide members and providers towards prompt resolution of questions and concerns.
- Become an expert on Firefly's Care-Key process, ensuring the highest level of service to our members throughout the referral process.
- Review and compare claims and data to resolve member and provider issues.
- Educate and re-educate providers about the Firefly Health Plan, both proactively and reactively.
- Create and submit single case agreements (SCAs) as needed for out-of-network care.
- Execute courteous, accurate, and prompt follow-up with customers using worklists to manage daily tasks.
- Carry out additional project work to support growth and scalability.
- 1-2 years of health insurance and customer service experience.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering great service to people, often at stressful moments in their health journey.
- Experience using digital technology to improve service delivery.
- Patient, compassionate, positive, flexible, and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.
- Organized, thorough, detail-oriented, and coachable.
- Successful remote-work time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
