About the Role

The Coordinator of Student Activities is a key member of the North Park University team, responsible for creating a dynamic and inclusive campus environment that fosters student growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement student activities programs that promote intercultural relations, positive identity development, equity, and inclusion.
  • Lead and coordinate student organizations, providing leadership development, advisor training, and policy development support.
  • Manage the campus student engagement platform, NPUEngage, and oversee the financial processes related to purchasing, procurement, and reimbursements.
  • Support the student-led Student Activities Board and hire, train, and supervise student activities student workers.
  • Collaborate with campus departments to implement student-led programming efforts and work with vendors, venues, and performers to secure quotes and contracts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in student affairs, with a focus on multicultural and gender issues and support for diverse and underrepresented populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, administrators, faculty, and staff members.
  • Experience with consensus-building, collaboration, and data-driven assessment and accountability.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, work independently, take initiative, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Personal commitment to North Park University's mission of Christian higher education.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in higher education or a related field.
