Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and meticulous Logistics Coordinator to manage the organization and distribution of low voltage materials within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a solid knowledge of low voltage components, exceptional organizational abilities, and a successful history in logistics operations. This position is vital for ensuring the effective storage, handling, and distribution of our products to fulfill customer and project requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Oversight:
    • Ensure precise inventory levels of low voltage materials, including cables, connectors, switches, and other related items.
    • Perform regular inventory checks and cycle counts to guarantee accuracy.
    • Manage stock levels and initiate orders to restock inventory as necessary.
    • Establish and uphold inventory control systems to monitor product movement.
  • Logistics Management:
    • Oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring adherence to processes and safety protocols.
    • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of low voltage materials.
    • Enhance warehouse layout and space utilization for optimal storage and retrieval.
    • Operate and maintain logistics equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners.
  • Shipping and Receiving Duties:
    • Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring prompt and accurate deliveries.
    • Inspect incoming shipments for correctness, quality, and damage, and liaise with suppliers for returns or replacements as required.
    • Prepare and oversee shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all logistics activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions to foster a safe working environment.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the logistics area.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a logistics role, preferably in a low voltage or electrical supply setting.
  • Proficient in logistics management software (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating logistics equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
