Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Supply Chain to lead our supply chain operations within our manufacturing environment. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving transformation projects, optimizing processes, and leading a team to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the company's business goals and objectives.
    • Lead the transformation of supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all supply chain functions.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
    • Ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
    • Monitor supply chain performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
    • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
    • Manage relationships with key suppliers, logistics providers, and other external partners.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with manufacturing, quality, sales, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and support for supply chain initiatives.
    • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and other stakeholders to report on supply chain performance and project progress.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of supply chain projects.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost control and financial performance.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the supply chain.
    • Conduct financial analysis and reporting related to supply chain operations.
  • Technology and Innovation:
    • Implement and optimize supply chain technology solutions, such as ERP, WMS, and TMS systems.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in the supply chain.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • ASCM certifications/experience desired.
  • Proven experience in leading supply chain transformation projects and initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
  • Extensive experience with ERP/DRP/TMS/WMS systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support supply chain operations and projects.
