Job Title: Youth Employment Coordinator

At Roads to Success Inc, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Youth Employment Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Program Directors with enrollment and placements, as well as providing guidance to program staff on maximizing internship experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Program Directors to identify students' career interests and develop tailored internship placements
  • Support in maintaining all paperwork associated with the internship placement process
  • Plan and execute career panels, fairs, and workshops in collaboration with other team members
  • Provide guidance to Worksite Monitors/Instructors on maximizing internship experiences by modeling effective relationship skills with adolescents
  • Conduct outreach to support increasing participant engagement during program cycles
  • Support with all implementation and execution of all aspects of the recruitment and enrollment process
  • Support the handling of sensitive and required documents to support Audit compliance
  • Engage students' families, as needed, to support the completion of their internship
  • Support the day-to-day operations of program staff during program hours

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration, social services, or a related field
  • Deep understanding of public benefit programs
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting systems
  • Experience in crisis intervention and support

Working Conditions:

  • Work takes place in one or more school buildings, which may require climbing stairs
  • Typical job hours are 9 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday, and events will take place during occasional nights and weekends
  • Travel via public transportation or car may be required throughout NYC

  • Ability to create and manage systems for effective program operation
  • Create and nurture a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that prioritizes the safety and emotional well-being of all participants
  • Efficiently manage operational systems, including data collection and stakeholder communication, to maintain operational effectiveness
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, ensuring that the program remains connected and relevant
  • Adapt to changing environments and needs, fostering innovation and engagement through change leadership
  • Represent the program, its participants, staff, and families at various levels, advocating for their needs and the program's success
