Job Summary

Figure Skating in Harlem, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Activities Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our I Can Excel Program, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe and supportive environment for students to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times, reporting any concerns to the Director of Family and Student Services.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities that promote social and emotional growth in students.
  • Supervise student participation in daily activities, special events, and trips, serving as a positive role model and mentor.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students, promoting character development and positive behavior.
  • Implement FSH policies and procedures, reporting any incidents or concerns to the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in educational and recreational settings.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification recommended.
  • Passion for education, recreation, and youth development.
  • Firm yet caring and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors during colder months and commit to working throughout the season.
  • Proficient in conversational Spanish a plus.

What We Offer:
