About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation/Civil Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for engaging with local stakeholders to design interchanges, highways, and urban corridors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specific and moderate portions of a broader project assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple designs and tests.
  • Propose approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Follow and direct internal quality process and identify discrepancies in results.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship for entry-level engineers.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain a PE License within the first year of employment.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience with design software including MicroStation and OpenRoads.
  • Familiar with MS Office software (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Experience designing highway/roadway systems.
  • Experience with Design-Build (DB) and/or General Engineering Consultant (GEC).
  • Previous design experience on transportation projects including Schematic Development and Preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E).
  • Experience with Business Development/Client Relations.
