Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transportation Engineer III to join our team in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, interchanges, and urban corridors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with local teams to design and develop transportation infrastructure projects
  • Perform specific and moderate portions of a broader project assignment, including calculations and relatively simple designs and tests
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments, including proposals for approach to solve new problems encountered
  • Follow and direct internal quality processes and identify discrepancies in results
  • Provide guidance and mentorship for entry-level engineers
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision
  • Independently perform tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering design projects

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain a PE License within the first year of employment
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Experience with design software, including MicroStation and OpenRoads
  • Familiarity with MS Office software (Excel, Word, Project)
  • Experience designing highway/roadway systems
  • Experience with Design-Build (DB) and/or General Engineering Consultant (GEC)
  • Previous design experience on transportation projects, including Schematic Development and Preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E)
  • Experience with Business Development/Client Relations
