About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rail Transit Project Manager to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex rail transit projects from conceptualization to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project objectives are met
  • Oversee the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans and specifications
  • Apply engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria to projects of varying size and complexity
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain staff, including performance and compensation reviews
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or
  • PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • 8 years of relevant experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Experience working for Southern California Rail Transit Clients such as LA Metro and/or California High Speed Rail
