Key ResponsibilitiesThis position requires proactive management of technical specifications, contractual commitments, and client interactions to support project goals. Critical thinking is essential for handling advanced technical tasks and reviewing design and construction-related submissions.
You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, to address and resolve design and construction challenges.
Your leadership will guide a large project team composed of WSP personnel and various sub-consultants, and you will be accountable for:
- Acting as the primary liaison for clients, presenting technical matters to clients, contractors, and third-party stakeholders.
- Planning, directing, and supervising all business, technical, and administrative functions of the project.
- Working alongside other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to provide technical support across project elements.
- Mentoring and supervising the team to achieve overall project objectives.
- Reviewing final design documents, submissions, RFIs, and other Design-Build JV deliverables to ensure compliance with client design criteria and bid documents.
- Preparing RFC position papers and response letters, as well as Change Notice documents and negotiating scope changes with contractors.
- Reviewing subcontractor billing and contract scope modifications.
- Ensuring thorough Quality Control and Quality Assurance for all deliverables.
- Providing Real Estate support, including the preparation of utility easements and revised certifications for TCE extensions.
- Making responsible and ethical decisions regarding company resources and adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies.
- Taking on additional responsibilities as business needs arise.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
- 12+ years of relevant post-education experience, with prior experience in transit, rail, and infrastructure design.
- 4 years of successful management experience in engineering or transportation projects.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol policies.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and demonstrate flexibility in work schedules to meet business needs.
- Willingness to travel occasionally based on project requirements.

CompensationThe expected salary range for this position is $180,000 - $230,000, reflecting the company's good faith estimate based on the successful applicant's qualifications and geographic location. WSP reserves the right to adjust compensation based on various factors, ensuring fairness and equity in the hiring process.
