Job Title: District Sales Representative - Merchandiser
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced District Sales Representative to join our team at Spectrum Brands. As a key member of our Home and Garden business unit, you will be responsible for servicing our products at national big-box accounts, including The Home Depot and Lowe's home improvement centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed sales goals by maintaining store presentation standards through resets, fixture installation, and inventory reconciliation.
- Build relationships with store management and maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately.
- Identify opportunities for incremental display space to drive volume goals and assist retail consumers with the selection and purchase of Home and Garden products.
- Conduct pricing surveys and track orders to determine if any additional selling opportunities are present.
- Ensure compliance with performance expectations and all company values and policies, including safety, attendance, store presence, and travel.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or additional training beyond high school preferred.
- One to two years of previous sales and/or retail experience; previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and demonstrate professional behavior at all times.
- Ability to manage time and competing priorities through effective organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Work Environment:
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to climb ladders and frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
