Job Summary

The University of North Carolina Wilmington seeks an Administrative Support Specialist to provide administrative support to the College of Science and Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including travel coordination, purchasing, and PCard management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the College of Science and Engineering, including travel coordination, purchasing, and PCard management.
  • Assist the CSE Facilities manager with administrative tasks, such as monitoring SPRs, computer life-cycle, and inventory.
  • Serve as primary backup for CSE departments with vacant administrative positions, covering all roles, including HR actions.
  • Perform financial and budget management tasks, including processing invoices and reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of University policies and procedures, including Banner Finance and HR processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of related office experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of financial and budget management experience.
  • Experience in a University setting.
  • Knowledge of Banner Finance.
  • Knowledge of HR processes.
