Responsibilities:

* Manage a team of 5-7 Technical Project Managers, providing day-to-day support, guidance, and performance management
* Mentor and coach project managers to improve their project management skills and ensure they are aligned with PMO best practices and organizational goals
* Oversee multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
* Work closely with project managers to track project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues
* Partner with the PMO Leader to oversee the execution of \"mission critical\" alternative energy initiatives that are essential to business growth and success
* Contribute to the development of project management methodologies, templates, and standards within the PMO
* Act as a key point of contact for senior leadership, providing regular project updates and status reports
* Ensure clear communication and alignment between project teams, stakeholders, and executive sponsors
* Continuously identify and implement process improvements within the PMO to enhance project delivery, resource utilization, and overall team performance
* Support the development and maintenance of project governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with organizational standards
* Support the PMO Leader in managing the PMO's budget and ensure resource allocation aligns with project and organizational priorities

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
* PMP Certification
* Kaizer or Six Sigma Certified
* 10+ years of experience in project management, managing multiple projects concurrently
* 5+ years of experience managing project managers or teams directly
* Proven success in mentoring, coaching, and developing project managers
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage complex, large-scale IT projects with multiple stakeholders
* Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools like MS Project, Jira, etc.
* Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management
* Familiarity with Alternative Energy or Government Relations projects are a plus
