Job Overview

Dansources Technical Services is in search of a dedicated professional for the position of Install and Integration, Test and Selection Cabler Tier I. This role is essential in ensuring the effective operation of our clients' data communication systems through the maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate under general supervision while potentially leading other installation personnel.
  • Travel to various remote customer locations is a critical aspect of this role, with an expected travel commitment of 60% to 70%.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, Operations Leadership, and cabling supervisors to stay updated on task changes and deadlines.
  • Provide local infrastructure support to Tier 2 teams.
  • Effectively relay daily assignments to site leadership to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all site equipment installation and cabling activities.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to the company's safety protocols.
  • Update customer documentation and prints as necessary.
  • Complete work orders, material transfer forms, and other required documentation.
  • Engage in continuous education through corporate or specialized training programs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of network IT equipment installations and physical cabling systems.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of OSI Layer 1 principles.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Visio and ServiceNow is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in cabling for IT systems is preferred.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, which may include a combination of professional history and educational background. Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 is required.

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI CI Poly.

Additionally, the candidate must be willing to travel to multiple remote customer sites to fulfill project obligations.
