Job Title: Tier II Network Technician

AT&T is seeking a skilled Tier II Network Technician to join our team. As a key member of our National Security Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the intelligence community by providing, operating, and assuring critical voice, video, and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices.
  • Respond to and resolve incident tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Draft and implement standard network change requests to ensure seamless network operations.
  • Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects, including site surveys, TEMS, and equipment installation.
  • Perform configuration management functions, such as updating topology drawings, ensuring asset management records are accurate, and conducting inventory.
  • Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades, with a focus on CISCO/Juniper RMA processes.
  • Utilize Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
  • Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching, including VLANs, port security, and thin configs.
  • Familiarity with Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade, and Foundry OS is required.
  • Knowledge of Layer 3 protocols, such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, and GRE, is also necessary.
  • Familiarity with Visio, ServiceNow, and Confluence is a plus.
Requirements:
  • 7 years of experience in a related field, with a combination of work history and education.
  • Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
  • Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model.
  • Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals.
  • Ability to travel 25 percent of the time.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
