Job Title: Tier II Network Technician

Job Summary:

AT&T is seeking a highly skilled Tier II Network Technician to join our team. As a key member of our National Security Team, you will be responsible for supporting the installation and maintenance of computer data communications systems, providing design specifications, testing and inspections, and analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices.
  • Respond to and resolve incident tickets.
  • Draft and implement standard network change requests.
  • Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects.
  • Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and conduct inventory.
  • Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
  • Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience.
  • Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching.
  • Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade and Foundry OS.
  • Familiarity with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE.
  • Familiarity with Visio, ServiceNow, and Confluence.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in a related field.
  • Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
  • Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model.
  • Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals.
  • Ability to travel 25 percent of the time.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
