Key Responsibilities- Taking and recording vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Assisting patients with hygiene and elimination needs
- Maintaining a clean and safe unit environment
- Stocking unit supplies and operating hospital equipment as directed
- Performing routine clerical tasks and assisting with other related duties as assigned
- Supporting the mission, vision, and goals of the organization and meeting compliance with regulatory agencies
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- AHA Basic Life Support
- Understanding of basic medical terminology
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Customer service skills
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only)
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
- Six (6) months of experience in a hospital, clinic, or SNF/Home Health setting as a nurse assistant, care partner, medical assistant, or student nurse
