Nurse Care Specialist
Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maternity care team, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients for potential safety risks and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Administer medications safely and effectively, following the 5 Rights of Medication Administration.
- Provide pain management and reassess patient response according to hospital standards.
- Delegate tasks to other healthcare professionals and maintain accountability for care delegated.
- Lead by example and promote a positive work environment through teamwork and independent problem-solving.
Requirements:
- License to practice in the State of Connecticut.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) certification within three months of hire.
- Desired: ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC, trauma hours, and non-violent crisis intervention certification.
Working Conditions:
- Sedentary/light effort, with little or no manual skills or motor coordination required.
- Pleasant working conditions, with minimal potential for occupational risk.
