Overview:
The CT/X-Ray Imaging Specialist is responsible for executing CT and X-Ray radiographic procedures while adhering to established professional and departmental standards.

Qualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate of a Radiologic Technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

Licensure/Certification:

Must hold a valid license from the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE) and obtain certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) within 90 days post-graduation. A temporary work permit from LSRTBE is acceptable, but permanent licensure and certification must be achieved within the specified timeframe.


Must have completed Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Experience/Skills:

Previous experience in CT imaging is highly preferred.
Ability to effectively manage and respond to crisis situations.

f. Conducts visual inspections of imaging equipment and communicates issues to supervisors.
