Join us in shaping the future with Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), where we are seeking Mid-Level, Senior, and Lead Systems Engineers to be part of our Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) System Safety team.

This team operates in a dynamic environment, contributing to a portfolio of renowned US and international aircraft.

We are expanding our safety capabilities within the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team, supporting various programs across the enterprise.

We seek individuals who are eager to grow, support their colleagues, and contribute to a cohesive team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of safety engineers throughout the military acquisition process.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in aircraft system functions and hazard mitigations.
- Address complex systems engineering challenges and inquiries.
- Conduct safety analyses to enhance system design and availability during critical operations.
- Mentor team members in managing system design vulnerabilities.
- Establish requirements and uphold the integrity of systems and components.
- Collaborate with customers, cross-functional teams, and program management.
- Prepare for and facilitate major milestones or customer events, including design reviews and flight test readiness assessments.

This role is hybrid, requiring some onsite work at designated locations, with a flexible schedule that includes every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in System Safety engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 7 or more years of relevant experience in Aerospace Engineering.
- Familiarity with system safety standards and guidelines.
- Experience in conducting Functional Hazard Analysis and Safety Assessments.
