Job Overview

Position Summary:

Compass Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to provide high-level technical support to the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast Fleet Support Team. The successful candidate will deliver professional engineering services to maintenance and industrial facilities, with a focus on aircraft and aerospace technologies. Responsibilities will encompass the assessment, evaluation, and maintenance assistance of intricate Naval aircraft and their related systems.

  • Develop rework guidelines and oversee aviation maintenance activities
  • Address complex engineering challenges and work alongside subject matter experts
  • Employ advanced engineering analysis techniques
  • Advise on the processing or repair of aircraft materials and components
  • Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, or in a leadership capacity
  • Ensure compliance with Technical Directives through oversight and tracking

Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science or higher degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or a comparable engineering discipline, along with relevant professional experience. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.

Physical Demands:

This position is primarily sedentary but may occasionally require lifting up to 10lbs. The work environment is characterized by moderate temperature and noise levels.
