Position Overview

As a Management Trainee, you will engage in a comprehensive training program lasting 3-6 months, designed to equip you with the skills necessary for effective branch management. This role involves rotational assignments to develop your expertise under the guidance of an experienced General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a branch management team upon successful completion of training, fostering a positive work environment and maintaining high employee morale.
  • Analyze financial reports to create strategies aimed at increasing revenue and managing expenses to meet or exceed budgetary goals.
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of all branch roles and processes, ensuring operational efficiency in service delivery and administrative support.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Develop plans for the optimal use of resources to deliver quality service to customers.
  • Monitor production costs and product quality, identifying areas for improvement to enhance profitability.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff, providing coaching and performance feedback in line with company policies.
  • Fulfill performance expectations while gaining experience in both field service and sales roles during training.
  • Relocate to an assigned branch within the region upon successful completion of the training program.
Education and Experience Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree along with 3-5 years of experience in business operations management, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in supervisory management and profit & loss responsibilities is essential.
  • Sales or sales management experience is preferred.
  • Background in lawn care, horticulture, agronomy, or a related service industry is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of business operations and best practices.
  • Familiarity with managerial accounting and financial management principles.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, including staffing and performance management.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Willingness to travel for training and assignments.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to perform essential functions in various physical conditions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs independently.
  • Occasionally required to lift or move up to 50 lbs with assistance.
Working Environment
