Job Title: CPU Implementation Silicon Correlation Engineer

Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our next-generation CPU designs. As a silicon correlation engineer, you'll be responsible for analyzing pre-silicon and post-silicon data to establish correlations between design targets and silicon measurements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain process-related silicon measurement data from product and technology teams
  • Analyze pre-silicon timing runs to comprehend margins and relate them to measured silicon parameters
  • Work with post-silicon teams to evaluate the return on investment (ROI) of design and methodology features
  • Analyze post-silicon speed debug data to help identify and root cause failing paths
Requirements
  • Minimum BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Must have chip design experience
  • Must know static timing analysis (STA) and timing methodology
  • Language proficiency in Tcl, Perl, or Python
  • Ability to run spice simulations and analysis
  • Must possess data parsing, analysis, and representation/plotting skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Chip design experience, including experience in CPU design
  • Good understanding of standard cell architecture and design
  • Working knowledge of device technology and spice models
  • Familiarity with automatic test pattern generation (ATPG) pattern framework
  • Awareness of place and route (PNR) tool flows
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams spanning pre-silicon design, technology, and post-silicon debug
Compensation and Benefits

At Apple, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base pay range of $175,800 to $312,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
