Role Summary

At Apple, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation in CPU performance and efficiency. As a Silicon Correlation Engineer, you'll play a critical role in validating and correlating our physical design points to silicon. Your expertise will ensure that our pre-silicon design targets are realizable on silicon and in our final products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain process-related silicon measurement data from product and technology teams
  • Analyze pre-silicon timing runs to comprehend margins and relate them to measured silicon parameters
  • Work with post-silicon teams to evaluate the return on investment (ROI) of design and methodology features
  • Analyze post-silicon speed debug data to help identify and root cause failing paths
Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Chip design experience, including experience in CPU design
  • Knowledge of static timing analysis (STA) and timing methodology
  • Language proficiency in Tcl, Perl, or Python
  • Ability to run spice simulations and analysis
  • Data parsing, analysis, and representation/plotting skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Chip design experience, including experience in CPU design
  • Good understanding of standard cell architecture and design
  • Working knowledge of device technology and spice models
  • Familiarity with ATPG pattern framework
  • Awareness of PNR tool flows
