Sales Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Marriott. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure the sales process is completed and documented.
- Maximize room and catering revenues and work towards achieving assigned goals.
- Attend tradeshows and networking events as needed.
- Ensure group bookings and events are executed properly by ensuring all details are communicated to hotel departments.
- Respond to all RFPs and leads within 24 hours.
- Participate in sales-related meetings and/or events.
- Perform all other sales-related duties as assigned by the leadership team.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of hotel sales experience.
- Marriott-branded hotel experience is a plus but not required.
- Prior experience in hotel sales.
- Knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, training, and motivation of peers.
- Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the market.
- Ability to execute appropriate action plans.
- Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties, be a team player, and have a positive attitude at all times.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
- The ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, public, guests, and vendors.
- Flexible work schedule.
