Credentialing Support Specialist Position at La Maestra Community Health Centers

Overview:

We are seeking a Credentialing Support Specialist to assist our Credentialing Coordinator in overseeing the licensing and credentialing processes for our healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help maintain and monitor the credentialing roster, employee health examination and vaccination records, and agreements with supervising physicians.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new providers, including necessary registrations and enrollments.
  • Address inquiries related to provider credentials through various communication channels.
  • Facilitate travel to clinic locations for the delivery and collection of documents.
  • Ensure that provider files adhere to legal standards and organizational policies.
  • Efficiently gather required documentation from providers.
  • Support the preparation of new applications and clinical privileges.
  • Promptly manage inquiries regarding the status of provider credentials.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate tracking of licenses and certifications.
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with staff and management.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Certification/Licensure: Certification as a Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant experience in credentialing is required.

Skills:

  • Prior credentialing experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in using office equipment and computer software.
  • Ability to learn swiftly and work autonomously.
  • Excellent skills in task prioritization and execution.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Dependable with a keen attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.

Physical Requirements:

Must possess hearing and speaking capabilities adequate for job functions. Visual acuity must be sufficient for reading printed and digital information. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds unassisted and other physical movements may be required.
