Job Title: Residential Instructor

Community Residences is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team.

Job Summary

The Residential Instructor will provide support and guidance to clients in a residential setting, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of human services and the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  2. Provide daily support and guidance to clients, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication administration, and behavioral interventions.
  3. Monitor and report any changes in client behavior, medical conditions, or physical changes to the supervisor, program manager, or clinician.
  4. Assist with meal preparation, laundry, and household chores, maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
  5. Supervise family visitation and participate in community-based outings and recreational activities.
  6. Attend mandatory training, in-services, and staff meetings to maintain professional development and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid CT driver's license and a good driving record.
  • An Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in the human services field.
  • Physical Management Training (PMT), First Aid, CPR, and Medication Certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to clients.
Work Schedule

This position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. The typical work schedule is Tues-Fri 2PM-10PM and Sat 7AM-3PM.
