Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to promote independence, socialization, and skill-building for clients.
  • Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and transportation.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support for clients.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client behavior, medical conditions, or other relevant information to the supervisor or program coordinator.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Assist with household management, meal preparation, and maintenance of the residential facility.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for clients, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in human services, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Valid CT driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to lift and transfer 70-75 pounds and perform active work, both inside and outside of the program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule

Wednesday/Thursday: 11pm-9am, Friday: 11pm-7am, Saturday: 11pm-11am
