Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our clients, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring the unique needs of each client are met.
  2. Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and behavioral interventions.
  3. Monitor and report any changes in client behavior, medical conditions, or physical changes to the supervisor, program manager, or clinician.
  4. Assist with meal preparation, laundry, and household chores, maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
  5. Supervise family visitation and participate in community-based outings and recreational activities with clients.
  6. Participate in mandatory training, including in-services, staff meetings, and conferences, to enhance professional development and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid CT driver's license and a good driving record.
  • An Associate's Degree or higher in a related field, with at least one year of experience in the human services field.
  • Training in Physical Management, First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration, with certification in these areas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and community partners.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to clients, with a focus on promoting their independence and well-being.
Work Schedule

This position requires a flexible schedule, with varying shifts, including weekends and evenings. A valid CT driver's license and a good driving record are required for this role.
