Job Summary
The CA Gambling Control Commission is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Support Specialist to join our team. As an Office Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to the Licensing Division, ensuring the smooth operation of our licensing meetings and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Licensing Division, including preparing meeting materials, coordinating travel arrangements, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of meeting materials, including agendas, minutes, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including meeting minutes, correspondence, and other documents.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a government or regulatory agency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced office environment, with frequent deadlines and competing priorities. The position may require occasional travel to meetings and conferences.
