Role Overview: Sales Representative at Nextpoint

As a Sales Representative at Nextpoint, you will play a crucial role in driving our sales outreach initiatives while embarking on your training for a career in sales. Reporting to the Senior Sales Director, you will collaborate with the sales, marketing, and client success teams to generate interest in Nextpoint among potential and existing clients. You will acquire various sales techniques, including conducting discovery calls, demonstrating software, and addressing objections, thereby becoming an essential member of the sales team.

You are a dynamic, self-driven professional with strong business insight, a curious mindset, and inherent sales abilities. You possess an entrepreneurial spirit and relish the challenges of designing and executing new campaigns while applying insights to future initiatives.

Success in this position typically leads to a career path where you will spend 1-2 years as a Sales Representative before advancing to a Sales Executive role, where you will manage your own territory and client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and prioritize strategic target account lists within a designated territory
  • Coordinate list-building efforts to ensure prospect data is relevant, accurate, and comprehensive
  • Proactively engage with prospects and clients via phone and email, creating a positive first impression
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director and Sales Executive to enhance their pipeline and develop your skills
  • Work with Marketing to design and implement outbound marketing strategies
  • Maintain active engagement with prospects and a healthy pipeline of new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications
  • Utilize CRM systems, calendars, and other project management tools effectively
  • Meet and exceed monthly activity targets
  • Understand how to demonstrate the Nextpoint software and communicate our value proposition
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, which may include attending events or meeting clients on-site
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer-facing sales role; preference for SaaS/Tech sales experience
  • Experience in prospecting is preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn about a new industry and product
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Motivation, drive, and a self-starting attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Capability to multitask, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
