Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments by gathering medical histories and measuring vital signs.
- Set up examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and maintain supplies and equipment, ensuring proper sterilization.
- Administer injections and assist with laboratory testing and phlebotomy.
- Support physicians during minor surgical procedures and physical examinations.
- Manage incoming calls and screen for referrals.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or equivalent healthcare experience.
- Current Medical Assistant certification is preferred; candidates without certification must obtain it within one year of hire.
- Active and unrevoked certification from recognized bodies is highly desirable.
