THE POSITION
We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Anti-Money Laundering & Sanctions Operations Team (AMLOPS) SAR Team, bringing expertise in gaming AML compliance and related operations. This role involves collaborating with Associates and Senior Associates to conduct enhanced due diligence and investigate suspicious activities. Responsibilities include overseeing the review of intricate suspicious customer behaviors and identifying enhancements to AML Operations processes to boost efficiency and scalability. Additionally, the role supports reporting metrics for senior leadership.

This position reports to the Manager of the SAR Team within AML & Sanctions Operations and is part of the FanDuel Group Legal & Compliance function. Successful licensing with state gaming regulators will be required following employment.

THE GAME PLAN
Each team member plays a crucial role:
  • Draft, review, approve, and submit SARs to FinCEN.
  • File CTRs for submission to FinCEN.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of SAR-related processes to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training to team members.
  • Collaborate with Law Enforcement and other departments on SAR-related inquiries.
  • Assist in creating reports on SAR typologies, emerging risks, and process execution, including team performance.
  • Support the administration of SAR Committee meetings with senior leaders.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and threats in the online gaming sector related to money laundering and changes in SAR requirements.
  • Coordinate with state licensor partners to efficiently file SARs as necessary.
THE STATS
We are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:
  • A minimum of 3 years in a compliance role within a highly regulated financial institution or similar environment.
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and filing Suspicious Activity Reports.
  • A background in technology, finance, or sports entertainment.
  • Proven ability to execute processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A collaborative team player with aspirations to lead within FanDuel Group.
  • Preferred: Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification.

The salary range for this position is $74,000 - $88,000, depending on various factors including experience, location, and market demand. This role may offer benefits such as medical, vision, and dental insurance; life and disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; and more. Additionally, this position may be eligible for incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and stock program participation, along with paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays.
