THE POSITION

FanDuel Group is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Anti-Money Laundering & Sanctions Operations Team (AMLOPS) SAR Team. This role requires expertise in gaming Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance and related operations. The Senior Associate will collaborate with Associates and Senior Associates to conduct enhanced due diligence and investigate suspicious activities. Responsibilities include overseeing the review of complex suspicious customer behaviors and identifying process improvements within AML Operations to enhance efficiency and scalability. Additionally, the role involves supporting reporting metrics for senior leadership.

This position reports to the Manager of the SAR Team within AML & Sanctions Operations and is part of the FanDuel Group Legal & Compliance function. Successful licensing with state gaming regulators will be required following employment.

THE GAME PLAN
  • Draft, review, approve, and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to FinCEN.
  • File Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) for submission to FinCEN.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of SAR-related processes to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training to team members.
  • Collaborate with Law Enforcement and other departments on inquiries related to SARs.
  • Assist in the development of reporting related to SAR typologies, emerging risks, and process execution, including team member performance.
  • Support the administration of SAR Committee meetings with senior leaders.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and threats in the online gaming industry concerning money laundering and changes to SAR requirements and regulatory expectations.
  • Work with state licensor partners to efficiently file SARs as necessary.
THE STATS
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the compliance function of a highly regulated financial institution or similar environment.
  • Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and filing Suspicious Activity Reports.
  • Previous experience in a technology, finance, or sports entertainment organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and effective communication abilities, both verbally and in writing.
  • A collaborative team player with aspirations to lead within FanDuel Group.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $74,000 - $88,000, depending on various factors such as relevant experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This role may offer additional benefits, including medical, vision, and dental insurance; life and disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; and other employee benefits. This position may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and stock program participation. Paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays are included, along with paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws.
