Role Overview
The Pediatric Echocardiography Specialist in the Non-Invasive Cardiodiagnostics department is responsible for conducting echocardiograms on both inpatient and outpatient populations utilizing age-appropriate techniques. This role includes availability for on-call responsibilities for urgent testing needs.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as a key resource for the interdisciplinary team during emergency situations involving patients.
2. Execute 2-D, M-mode, Doppler color flow, and stress echocardiography following established protocols.
3. Analyze and provide preliminary interpretations of findings; document results and prepare reports as necessary.
4. Adjust testing protocols based on the patient's diagnosis or indication, considering the complexity of heart conditions.
5. Conduct echocardiographic studies efficiently for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
6. Manage image selection and archiving using departmental equipment.
7. Deliver age-appropriate assessments and interventions tailored to the needs of patients and their families.
8. Identify and communicate clinically significant test results to the referring physician and cardiology staff as needed.
9. Evaluate requests to determine the suitability of the testing location (inpatient vs. outpatient).
10. Utilize techniques to obtain tests and views appropriate to the patient's age, body size, and specific pathology.

Compensation:
Hourly rate: $65.74

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric sonography is required.
- Proficient in performing scans that meet diagnostic standards for various age groups.
- Ability to recognize critical diagnostic information and communicate effectively with relevant parties.
- Capability to transport heavy equipment for portable studies.
- Commitment to infection control practices regarding equipment usage.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and follow as necessary.
