Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality echocardiography tests on pediatric patients, utilizing advanced techniques and protocols to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care, including emergency situations.
  • Interpret and report echocardiogram findings, providing clear and concise recommendations for patient treatment.
  • Develop and implement protocols for echocardiography testing, taking into account patient age, body size, and target pathology.
  • Utilize department equipment resources to select and archive images, ensuring efficient and timely testing.
  • Provide age-appropriate assessments and interventions to meet the needs of patients and families served.
  • Recognize and report clinically significant test results to referring physicians and staff cardiologists.
  • Screen requests for appropriateness of testing location, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of pediatric sonography experience.
  • Ability to scan in an appropriate fashion, depicting all views of areas consistent with diagnostic requirements for pediatric patients.
  • Ability to detect lethal diagnostic information and communicate with appropriate entities.
  • Ability to push heavy equipment for portable studies.
  • Ability to adhere to infection control initiatives related to equipment use.
  • Ability to work as a team, taking and giving direction to other team members.
