Benefits and Compensation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits and Compensation Specialist to join our team at EVRAZ North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the administration of various retirement benefit programs, including 401(k) and Pension plans.
Responsibilities- Retirement plan administration, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to loan terms.
- Audit retirement plan eligibility and participant data, resolving discrepancies within the system and with record-keepers.
- Loan administration, ensuring timely processing and accurate tracking of loans.
- Collaborate with the broader HR team, auditors, finance team, legal, and actuaries on various retirement items.
- Prepare and submit annual 5500 filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process death life insurance claims, providing support to employees and their families during difficult times.
- Funding for retirement plans, ensuring adequate resources are available to meet obligations.
- Coordinate legal communications, such as Annual Funding Notice and Summary Annual Report.
- Process Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Identify and develop process improvements, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of benefits administration.
- Special projects as needed, such as file feed enhancements and managing total reward statement data collection.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working with employee retirement benefits.
- Pension experience is required.
- Advanced MS Office skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of various retirement legislation.
- Able to work independently, receiving minimal guidance.
- Solves complex problems, exercising judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
The estimated salary range for this position is $105,000-$113,000 USD per year. Our comprehensive compensation package includes:
