Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laboratory Support Specialist to join our team at ICONMA. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specimen Management: Receive, sort, and store specimens in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Laboratory Tasks: Conduct centrifugation, label printing, data recording, and specimen storage and retrieval.
  • Reagent Preparation: Prepare reagents and media for laboratory use.
  • Specimen Preparation: Prepare specimens for testing, including building worklists, aliquoting, and checking for clots and fibrin.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform QA/QC duties as assigned to ensure compliance with laboratory standards.
  • Radioactive Waste Management: Conduct weekly radioactive wipe tests to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Gas Cylinder Management: Change gas cylinders as needed to maintain laboratory operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous laboratory experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
