Key Responsibilities- Specimen Management: Receive, sort, and store specimens in a timely and accurate manner.
- Instrument Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Laboratory Tasks: Conduct centrifugation, label printing, data recording, and specimen storage and retrieval.
- Reagent Preparation: Prepare reagents and media for laboratory use.
- Specimen Preparation: Prepare specimens for testing, including building worklists, aliquoting, and checking for clots and fibrin.
- Quality Assurance: Perform QA/QC duties as assigned to ensure compliance with laboratory standards.
- Radioactive Waste Management: Conduct weekly radioactive wipe tests to ensure a safe working environment.
- Gas Cylinder Management: Change gas cylinders as needed to maintain laboratory operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous laboratory experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
