Database Analyst IT Job Description

The Kentucky Energy & Environment Cabinet is seeking a skilled Database Analyst IT to join our team. As a Database Analyst IT, you will play a critical role in supporting agency software database applications and working closely with a knowledgeable team in our Development section.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and write applications to interface with SQL and Oracle databases, as well as write and test code for reporting and data maintenance in reports and support of Tools for EEC Applications.
  • Serve as project leader and provide analytical support to Information Management in the integration and design of large-scale development projects.
  • Support and technical point of contact for Division projects, including as a backup in the support for existing EEC applications.
  • Manage IT Projects Assigned by the Office of Administrative Services and communicate with staff on important IT Issues affecting the departmental database and related IT projects.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Four years of professional experience in computer programming or systems analysis.
  • Related technical or vocational training will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year for year basis.
