As a Database Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining large databases, including working knowledge of relational databases and data queries for research studies. You will also use business intelligence and data visualization software to create data dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain the OEA database
* Collect and retain all data necessary to carry out the research work of the office
* Prepare the District Data Profiles
* Develop and implement practices to ensure the validity, integrity and safe maintenance of the database
* Work with staff to plan, maintain a timeline for, and deliver projects
* Keep staff updated on project status and aware of any issues that arise with the projects
* Plan and communicate with staff about the implementation and deployment of in-house projects
* Actively seek opportunities and methods to improve database
* Maintain a working document of all data maintained in the database
* Write routine and ad-hoc reports as needed, as well as performing complex database queries
* Work on research projects as assigned by Research Manager

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
* Experience in development and management of large databases, including working knowledge of relational databases, and data queries for research studies
* Ability to use business intelligence and data visualization software such as Crystal Reports and Tableau to create data dashboards and reports
* A working knowledge of Kentucky K-12 education data is preferred
