Business Development Specialist

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support our clients in the financial industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in physical metals trading and risk management, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with traders, quants, and technology partners to define scope and capture business requirements for metal financial, physical trading, leasing, and inventory financing.
  • Collaborate with technology development and delivery managers to estimate work effort, cost, plan delivery, and prioritize features and trade-offs.
  • Develop and execute test cases and secure stakeholder approvals.
  • Support production and provide coverage during off-peak hours as needed.
  • Perform BA activities to support Openlink Endur projects/enhancements to help sustain and build precious metals physical trading capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Strong IT business analyst skills.
  • Recent and strong experience supporting metal/physicals trading in an investment bank/capital markets firm.
  • Precious or base metals physical trading experience.
  • Understanding of front-to-back physical metals trade flow, including physical delivery, vaults, inventory systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of trade booking and processing, cash management, balances, pricing, risk, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing with front office, operations, and IT groups.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to operate independently within a team distributed globally.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting Openlink Endur is optional if the candidate has strong metal/physical/lease expertise.
  • Financial derivatives trading or financial services experience a plus.
