Lead Software Systems Engineer

Your Role:
We are looking for a dynamic developer who is eager to embrace new technologies to design and implement application services and laboratory workloads, expanding our hands-on educational offerings to a broader audience in various settings.
Collaborating with our Learning Management System (LMS) platform team, project managers, and instructional designers, you will ensure that our tailored LMS delivers an engaging and efficient learning experience for both learners and instructors.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop orchestration tools to deploy interactive lab environments across diverse platforms, including public and private clouds, as well as supercomputers.
- Create, deploy, and maintain microservices that integrate our existing learning experiences with new generative AI functionalities and NVIDIA core services.
- Work closely with full-stack developers, user experience experts, and course content creators to incorporate new features and enhancements into the platform.
- Ensure that your contributions are high-performing, accessible, secure, and leverage NVIDIA's internal and public tools and services effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of proven experience in software engineering roles, focusing on building, deploying, and maintaining scalable applications.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, specifically with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and Go, along with infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Terraform.
- Experience with cloud-native deployment using Kubernetes and GPU Operator.
- Expertise in establishing and maintaining DevOps practices for your tools and projects, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional products.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with event-driven and publish/subscribe application development patterns, including event handling and understanding of distributed transactions.
- Familiarity with the requirements and operations of Deep Learning and Machine Learning, particularly in relation to Generative AI tools and frameworks.
- Experience with Open edX, Moodle, or other Python-based LMS platforms.
