About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Guide to join our team at Guidepost Montessori. As a Lead Guide, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters independence, self-confidence, and a love of learning in our toddler students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and Support Each Child: Develop a deep understanding of each child's physical, intellectual, and emotional needs, and provide personalized support to help them thrive.
  • Prepare a Beautiful Environment: Create a safe, orderly, and aesthetically pleasing space that encourages exploration, learning, and independence.
  • Cultivate Independence and Self-Confidence: Help children develop the skills and confidence they need to take care of themselves and make informed decisions.
  • Provide Lessons and Activities: Design and implement engaging lessons and activities that promote practical life skills, language development, and social-emotional growth.
  • Communicate with Parents: Build strong relationships with parents and keep them informed about their child's progress and development.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A CDA (Child Development Associate) credential is preferred, and at least one year of experience working with children in a licensed center or preschool setting.
  • Montessori Training: We offer fully-sponsored Montessori training through our Prepared Montessorian Institute, and we encourage candidates to pursue certification.
  • Child-Led Philosophies: Familiarity with child-led philosophies such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori is a plus, but not required.
