About the Role

Caregiver, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead their unique lives with dignity, independence, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal assistance with daily living activities, such as grooming, eating, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Document Service Delivery Logs to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Assist with meal planning and preparation, as well as housekeeping tasks.
  • Support individuals with ambulation and mobility needs.
  • Secure and provide transportation as needed.
  • Reinforce counseling and therapy activities to promote individual growth and development.
  • Assist with medications and delegated tasks from Registered Nurses.
  • Supervise and ensure the health, safety, and security of individuals in care.
  • Facilitate inclusion in community activities, social interaction, and leisure activities.
  • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness in duties.
  • Adhere to good work and personal ethics in interactions with colleagues and individuals in care.
  • Report incidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • A high school education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Satisfactory completion of background checks and any other post-offer, pre-employment screenings as required by law or company policy.
