Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting and caring for adults and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

About the Role:

The Direct Support Professional will be responsible for promoting the health, safety, and well-being of residents, while also advocating for their rights and interests. This includes assisting with daily routines, providing personal care, and supporting individuals with their goals and aspirations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily routines, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide personal care, including changing undergarments and clothing
  • Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up
  • Pick-up and drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary)
  • Support individuals with their goals and aspirations, including helping them to develop and implement individualized plans
Requirements:
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2 preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire)
  • First Aid/CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a California Driver's License
  • Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
