Vascular Imaging Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking skilled Vascular Imaging Specialists to join our esteemed team at Nuvance Health. This role offers the flexibility of a PRN position, allowing you to work alongside industry leaders in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage patient admissions, observations, and discharges within the vascular laboratory.
2. Confirm physician orders for procedures, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
3. Verify patient identification through direct communication when feasible.
4. Introduce yourself to patients, providing detailed explanations of procedures and addressing any inquiries.
5. Conduct tests for various vascular conditions, including peripheral arterial disease and venous disorders.
6. Promptly inform physicians of critical preliminary findings before patient discharge.
7. Execute STAT orders within 15 minutes and routine orders within a 24-hour timeframe.
8. Participate in ongoing education and mandatory training sessions as required.
9. Adhere to all compliance protocols associated with the role.
10. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required: Candidates must achieve registration within 18 months of hire. A comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes is essential. Ability to translate clinical observations into accurate preliminary results is necessary.
Minimum Experience: Six months in a relevant field.
Working Conditions:
Manual: Some manual dexterity and coordination are required.
Occupational: Potential exposure to various occupational hazards.
Physical Effort: The role may involve medium to heavy physical effort, with the capacity to exert up to 35 lbs. of force.
Physical Environment: Candidates should be prepared for exposure to various environmental factors.
