Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at the University of Miami UHealth System. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Nuclear Medicine, utilizing diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals and other associated medications as part of approved protocols, quality control, and radiation protection.
  • Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of Nuclear Medicine scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
  • Verify patient information, obtain necessary consents, and educate patients as required.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to perform imaging procedures, start IVs, and inject contrast media as necessary.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations within the department, including scheduling patients, charging procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology accredited program.
  • NMTCB or ARRT-N registered.
  • Valid State of Florida License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • CPR and BLS certification required.
  • One year of relevant experience preferred, will consider new graduates from accredited schools.
